March Meeting Notes
Marilyn will be presenting Lino & Bookmarking. Lino - is a free sticky & canvas
service that requires nothing but a Web browser. Marilyn will also be
showing us another way to bookmark
your favorites. Also, a monthly look at new and/or popular iOS apps
for the iPhone or iPad.
February Meeting Notes
Wondershare Fantashow for Mac is the digital slideshow builder that lets
anyone at home achieve a professional-looking movie in no time. If
we are the most fortunate we will be digging into some iOS Apps as well.
January Meeting Notes
We will be taking a first look at the new iCloud service from Apple and
the iTunes Match companion. Also be putting together our own Mac Mash-up
of web sites, videos and the like.
December Holiday Meeting
We had our annual Christmas luncheon. Great friends, great food!! Visit
us on Facebook to see the photos and more.
October Meeting Notes
This meeting will be a combined October & November
meeting. We will be spending time on some of the Open Source software
that we looked at the last meeting.
September Meeting Notes
This meeting had a focus on Software Freedom Day. Software
Freedom Day (SFD) is a worldwide celebration of Free and Open Source
Software (FOSS).
August Meeting Notes
We spent plenty of time on Facebook privacy settings as well as looked
at the vast add-ons and extensions for the Firefox and Safari browsers.
July Meeting Notes
This will be our annual summer picnic meeting. We will start a bit earlier
and have lunch and then get into our normal meeting. Meeting topic
will be a follow up session on iMovie on making trailers and Q & A from
our June meeting. We will also spend some time working in iWork and the
Pages application.
June Meeting Notes
Marilyn gave us quite the presentation on making a movie out of still
photos. Great hands-on work in our lab. We also spent some time going
over all
of the great news out of WWDC.
May Meeting Notes

Tired of trying to remember all of those passwords? Are your secure passwords
the same at every web site? Is your password security a post-it note
on your monitor? Well, we will be digging into Dropbox and 1Password
to show you how these two tools can make your life much easier.

March Meeting Notes
We had an iChat presentation done by Jon Parshall from Codeweavers on
Crossover for Mac. http://www.codeweavers.com/products/crossover/.
We touched base on what's new with Apple and the SxSW Show and
our standard Q&A session.
February Meeting Notes
We had some fun with the iPad lab. Hands-on work with Apple's coolest
product. Also, we will be getting some more use out of some standard
OS X applications. We also touched base on what's new with Apple,
CES & Macworld
and had our standard Q&A session.
January Meeting Notes
We spent time reviewing a welath of finance sites. Here

2010 Meetings
December Meeting Notes
This was our annual Christmas meeting.
Great food once again!! Plenty of discussion on meeting topics for 2011.
Also discussed our scholarship program, 2010 financials, the lending
library update and membership.
November Meeting Notes
We will be spending the majority of the meeting going over gadgets, gizmos
and more stuff that may make a great holiday gift idea. We will be spending
time surfing the web for great ideas, have a handout as a takeaway and
getting some great feedback from you on what you think are great items
for gifts. Come prepared to share some information if you have some cool
gift ideas.

August Meeting Notes
We will be covering a wide array of software topics including some tips
on Spotlight, iPhoto, Dictionary and more. We have some information on
a hardware product called WI-FIRE and we will cover some TCMUG business
on membership, our scholarship program and upcoming meetings.
July Meeting Notes
Marilyn will be showing us an image-editing program. It is an easy-to-use,
fast and powerful image editing program that has everything you need
to enhance, edit and retouch your photos. We also reviewed our last meeting
where Dave Marra spoke. We also enjoyed a rather nice picnic-style lunch.
June Meeting Notes
We have an amazing event planned for June, with a different date and
a different location than usual. The MAC2 and TCMUG Macintosh Users Groups
have teamed up to create this incredible event. Dave Marra of Apple!
Dave is an Apple Senior Systems Engineer and a
dynamic speaker well known for his exciting demos and presentations.
He travels the United States and Canada, conducting technology presentations,
keynote addresses and workshops
May Meeting Notes
We are going to get a first hand look at the new iPad. Blane will be
giving us and up close look at the latest from Apple. Marilyn will be
reviewing some cool features in Pages.

We spent a good deal of time discussing social media and networking sites like
Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and the like. We also will be having Hayley review

June meeting - Meeting Notes
Marilyn will be presenting a hands-on look at Apple's iWeb. Attendees will be
able to design a website using iWeb. It will be hands on - take the fear out
of creating a web site. I'll have all the pieces and parts available to them
and we'll create a photo gallery, design a home page, learn about the links
etc.
May meeting - Meeting Notes
We reviewed some great software from 1Password.
1Password takes care of all your online passwords so you can use strong and unique
passwords for every site and never forget any of them! We also looked at ArtRage,
it’s an easy to
use, stylish painting software for Mac OS X! Other software tidbits we looked
at were Cosmic Painter and Image
Well. We had some awesome web sites to review as well and here they are,

Our first annual Christmas party. Good food...good time.
November meeting - Meeting Notes
For our November meeting we are going to be taking a hands-on look at iPhoto
'08. We will look at organizing your photos in events, how to enhance your photos
and then turn those awesome digital photos that you took into a Christmas card
or calendar project. You can also start a small book project - just in time for
those Christmas gifts. Please bring your digital photos on a CD, flash drive
or bring your digital camera (with the USB cable please) and we will learn how
to import your own photos into iPhoto. If you don't have photos we will provide
some for you. We will be meeting in the computer lab at the TCHESC where everyone
can work on a computer that has iLife 08.
October 18th - Meeting Notes
Mark will be presenting how to take your old vinyl records and cassettes and
make them digital recordings. We will be continuing the video tutorial series
on Mastering Mac OS X made possible by MacPro Video.
September 20th - Meeting Notes
