At our last meeting we had talked quite extensively on the iPod and iPod Mini. Here is some follow up to that topic as Apple has launched the next generation of iPod recently.
Incorporating the fabulous Apple Click Wheel that was first introduced on iPod mini. Offering up to 12 hours of battery life. Weighing in at just 5.6 ounces. And getting slightly thinner with each new generation. iPod continues to define the perfect digital music player for Mac and Windows. You can now purchase a 20GB iPod for $299. Or a 40GB iPod for $399. http://www.apple.com/ipod/

========== TIP OF THE MONTH: IMPROVE YOUR MAC'S PERFORMANCE ==========
12 Steps to Improving Your Mac's Performance by Joli Ballew, author of Degunking Your Mac (from Paraglyph Press)
It is common for computers to slow down as they age; that's a fact. This slowdown isn't just inherent to PCs; it applies to Macs, too. No matter how much care you take, your computer will eventually bog down and perform sluggishly. That's just the way it goes.
In Degunking Your Mac, published by Paraglyph Press, I detail why this slowdown occurs. The problems are common to all computers, with only minor variations brought on by the individuality of The One Using The Computer The Most. Figuring out what causes the slowdown is a start to getting better performance. Knowing the cause of the problem is only half the battle; though. To recoup the performance lost, you must know what steps are required to fix the problem, and learn how to maintain the computer once it is running properly.

2. Click on Finder - Go - Utilities - Disk Utility
3. Click on Images - New Image from Folder
4. Follow the prompts to select the folder you wish to burn
5. Click on Image
6. Enter a name for the disk image and specify the location
7. Click on Save
To burn your files onto CD:
1. Open Disk Utility
2. Click on the Burn icon in the toolbar

4. Click on Burn
5. In the Burn Disc dialog box, click on the blue triangle at the upper right of the window to expand the dialog box
6. Click on Leave disc appendable
7. Click on the Burn button
For each additional session you wish to add later:
1. Follow all steps above
2. Notice that in the last step, the button indicates Append in place of Burn
3. Click on Append
You'll see that each session is represented by an individual disc icon when the disc is inserted.
For OS X 10.2 Jaguar:
To create a multi-session CD, use the Disk Copy utility to create a disk image file from which the CD is burned.
To organize your files into a single session:
1. Drag the item or items you wish to burn into a folder
2. Open Disk Copy (in Applications - Utilities)
3. Drag the folder onto the Disk Copy window
4. The Image Folder dialog will appear

7. Wait for the image to finish
To burn your files onto CD:

3. In the Burn Disc window, click on the triangle to expand the dialog box
4. Select the checkbox for Allow additional burns
A disc burned with this setting will remain open to subsequent multi-session burns. When performing additional burns on the multi-session disc, simply repeat the steps above. The Allow additional burns setting should automatically be retained for that disc on subsequent burns. Each new session on the disc will appear in the Finder as a separate disk with the name of the disk image file.
