About Big Brothers Big Sisters
For more than 100 years BBBS has operated under the inherent belief that in every child is the ability to achieve success and thrive in life. Rachel Carson, daughter of the famous Dr. Ben Carson, once said “If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement and mystery of the world we live in.” At BBBS our mentors come from all walks of life and span generations. “No matter what your age, and no matter where you come from, everyone can change the world in some way, whether it is being a mentor to someone younger than you or someone who does not have as much experience as you. If you’re passionate enough, you can do whatever you want and definitely change the world.” – Josh Groban. All kids need is a little help, a little hope, and someone who believes in them.
