Hope to see you at our next meeting, Saturday, April 15th. It will be our birthday celebration as we will be celebrating 15 years as a Mac Users Group!
New Philadelphia, Ohio – March 3, 2017 – The Tuscarawas County Mac Users Group has selected the Tuscarawas County Rainbow Connection for their 2017 annual donation. Kevin Warrene had presented a check for $250 to Carmel Haueter, Executive Director of the Rainbow Connection, on Friday, March 3rd. Warrene, an executive committee member with the group, notes that they had transitioned from having a scholarship based program for a Tuscarawas County school recipient to selecting a local Tuscarawas County non-profit charity to support on an annual basis. This is the second year for supporting a local charity. The 2016 recipient was Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio.
About the Tuscarawas County Mac Users Group
The Tuscarawas County Mac User Group was founded and had their first meeting on April 6, 2002. We were officially a registered and an approved Mac Users Group by Apple in May of 2003. The TCMUG meets monthly at the East Central Ohio Educational Service Center in New Philadelphia. The group welcomes all those who use and enjoy Apple’s Macintosh computers and related peripherals or who have an interest in learning more about the platform.
Your best local resource for everything Apple. From iPhones, iPads, Watch, Computers, iPods, iOS, Mac OS X, WatchOS – we support, train and are dedicated to helping people get the most out of their Apple products. Our group is for the beginner to the expert and everyone in between. We are an educational and not-for-profit organization supporting Tuscarawas County since 2002! Meetings usually include software demonstrations, question-and-answer sessions and more.
About the Rainbow Connection
The Society was organized in 1950, under the name Tuscarawas Society for Crippled Children & Adults. Relying on dedicated volunteers, the society tried to fill the gaps existing in community services by providing a diversified range of services. Although the society was associated with Easter Seals since its beginning, they did not begin using the name until 1981, when they became known as the Tuscarawas Easter Seal Society. In September 1992, the local society found it necessary to leave the Easter Seal unbrella to enable them to continue their mission serving the people of Tuscarawas County. The Tuscarawas Society for Children & Adults will continue to provide direct aid to county residents through their unique programs and services.
