Local Computer Users Group Donates to Cause for Paws

New Philadelphia, Ohio – February 18, 2018 – The Tuscarawas County Mac Users Group has selected the Tuscarawas County Humane Society for their 2018 annual donation. Kevin Warrene had presented a check for $250 to Haley Predragovich, the Shelter Director of the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, on Saturday, February 17th. This years donation supports the Shelter’s 10th annual fundraiser, Cause For Paws, coming up on March 3rd.

Warrene, an executive committee member with the group, notes that they had transitioned from having a scholarship based program for a Tuscarawas County school recipient to selecting a local Tuscarawas County non-profit charity to support on an annual basis. This is the third year for supporting a local charity. The previous recipients were Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio and the Rainbow Connection.

The Tuscarawas County Humane Society is a nonprofit 501C(3) organization founded in 1977 in Dover, Ohio, and operates solely by means of donations and does not receive revenue nor help from any municipal, county or state government. Our Humane Officer serves a population of 90,914 with an estimated 22,983 dogs and 25,929 cats.

February 2015 we moved from Dover-Zoar Rd to Tall Timber Rd. The new facility is set up to house about 35-40 dogs and about 40-50 cats. We also receive horses, goats, cows, chinchillas, ferrets or any animal that is suffering from abuse or neglect. All the animals in our care receive appropriate veterinary care and are spayed or neutered before they are placed in their forever home.
